When it comes to making money from home some people will try almost anything. His tactics have been questioned, praised, ridiculed and most of all for him....... most profitable. Let's look at what Kevin Ham has done with a huge portion of his domain investing portfolio. Basically Mr. Ham has purchased many domians ending in .cm instead of .com Smart move considering all the typos that are entered into searches every minute of every day contain several spelling errors.
First Mr. Ham went to the Cameroon government and worked out a deal allowing him to do this. Then he took blank pages and put ads on them and launched what I like to call a click campaign. The domain name then redirects and lands you on his page, trapped in an ad filled jungle where most people seem to escape by clickong on ads and making him money.
Funny thing is after a rare interview with Mr. Ham, some of these .cm's that were featured in the article were no longer working properly. I cannot imagine that Google was very pleased with his tactics. I have also read that Mr. ham has a deal cut with larger domain registrar companies and pays them to give him first crack at expiring domain names? Is this fair? Well, I do not know all the particulars but if he is being treated different then say the thousnads of other domain investors this could be considered bribery. I was never a fan of people buying their way up a ladder or buying their way out of trouble.
The problem for Mr. Ham now is if Google has a bad attitude towards him they could make his life miserable. So what needs to happen is Mr. Ham needs to put genuine content onto these domain names. Cha Ching...... Now the internet's domain KING is playing catch up with my clients. That's right, my clients. He is playing catch up because all of my clients are blogging for cash, have started development of their domain names months ago and right now are sitting pretty. The content on these blogs does not get more genuine. Recently a football blog that a client of mine owns received a nice little gift from me, mark mearin and our ireporters. We blessed this blog with RAW video footage of celebrities and on location videos from super bowl xlii. On youtube alone, these 18 videos received more than 30,000 visitors.
My tactics are real, efficient and powerful. Yeah, I have to throw a bone to an ireporter on occassion or work late myself but hey, that's what I get paid to do.
